Robert Danskin was born about 1750 and moved to Northumberland where he married Grace Hope. He became a Bottle maker at a Glass works as did several generations after him. It is believed he came from Scotland probably Lanarkshire - does anyone recognise him or is he in your tree? Robert is my 5x Great Grandfather.

You got that from the IGI. Have you got hold of the microfilm of the parish register and checked to see whether the entry has any clues?

Danskin Glassmakers from Scotland
Several people researching the Danskin name have come up with the same information. The marriage record does not give any information about Robert Danskin's birthplace or parentage, so we are hoping that someone researching Scottish Danskins may have some information to share. My research into Scottish Danskins does not reveal a stray "Robert" born at the right time. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

robert Danskin
Robert Danskin is my 4x G Grandad. I have been researching for nearly 20 years now but have been unable to go further than his marriage to Grace. There is an Andrew Danskin who marries Margaret Reynolds in 1733 in Whickham, Co Durham who would be an ideal candidate for Robert's parents but there is no record of any children being born to them either in Durham or Newcastle. Trying to find the right Robert Danskin in Scotland is a very tall order, believe me I've tried.
