Hi Folks,
could some one please look up the 1841 and 1861 census returns for William Tolhurst born 1850 in Lamberhurst and Edward Barden born 1846 born in Ticehurst I keep geting Kent and East Sussex up for the countys but I think it is now Sussex??

As both parties were born post 1841 they won't be in that census.

Hi there procat, many thanks for your help sorry about the dates I ment to put 1851 not 1841 I would say it was intentional but I cant only one excuse I was up all night at work, a bit feeble but thanks again for helping

Just like to clarify this as I am a Barden descendant - the Sarah who married Luke Wickham was Edward's sister. They were the children of Edward Barden and Jane Curd. Edward Jr.'s wife was Sarah Leaney.

Mea culpa - talk about making mistakes - I was wrong about the Sarah Barden who married Luke Wickham - she WAS the widow of Edward Barden, maiden name Leaney, the illegitimate daughter of Henry Eastwood. Don't know what I was thinking....
