Default Henry Jefferies/ Jane Smith wedding 1814

I've been stuck for a while trying to get back beyond the wedding of my ggg grandparents above on the 15th August at St Marys Alverstoke.

They lived in Portsea and had at least 6 children between 1815 and 1826.

I know when Jane was born (1790/1) as she died in 1838 and I have her death cert but I havent had a lot of luck finding where she was born and who her parents are (although Janes daughters are living with a David and Mary Smith both 80 yrs old in 1841, which is a bit of a coincidence)

Henry is even more elusive to pin down. There is a Henry Jefferies buried on 24th Dec 1826 Portsea (age 34), which would fit the childrens dates but not much else.
There are a surprisingly large amount of Henry Jefferies (or the various spellings) kicking around at this time. he called his sons Henry, William and Thomas so maybe there is a clue there.

Oh, and there was a Sarah Jefferies at their wedding

Any help with finding either of these would be great - although sorting out Smith is a tall order!

    Many thanks
    David

    Default David/Mary SMITH

    Hello,David,
I don't think that I'll be of much help to you,but I'm interested in the Smiths.
Do you know whether they had a daughter,Caroline[b1801-5],
who married Benjamin Vickers in St.Mary's ,Portsea,on17/03/1827?
Benjamin was my maternal ggg grandfather.
I live in Adelaide,South Australia and would love to hear from you.
