Can anyone help find Enoch known as Elijah. He was the father of Albert and husband of Mary (Singleton). I have reason to believe he was born about 1806 - 1810. Neither Enoch or Mary are in the 1871, 81 0r 91 census and I think they may have died in the mid 1860's. Does anybody have access to census prior to this date? I am at a dead end with the Dearden's of Bolton at the moment.
Thanks for your interest and any help.

Elijah Dearden
Thanks Geoffers for your prompt and helpful reply. I can see I am going to have to forget renovating this old house and get serious about the family tree.

Hi
Thanks for your data Jim. The Bolton Enoch Elijah is mine I am sure but a trip to uk is called for when my 'ship' comes in.
I have his son Albert right through to 1901 and it is Albert's daughter Elizabeth Ethel who married my grandfather in 1909. What a dance he led her, not only did he desert her and my father but he deserted the army - twice.
Albert only had girls so any male line belonging to my Deardens had to be through Albert's brother James or other siblings if any.
My Deardens of Bolton seem to be in short supply. In the 5 or 6 years I have been doing my tree I haven't had contact from any Bolton Deardens.
My dad was adopted so we didn't get to meet any of them even though, looking back, I think Dad knew more than he was telling.
Thanks again.
