    Default MI Astley Abbotts

My ancestors lived in Astley Abbotts. Have you any MI for SHERWOOD?

    Default Sorry

No Sherwood gravestones were recorded in the 1984 list I have. Even then there were a lot of illegible stones.

Peter - have just discovered you 2006 offer regarding MI's for Broseley Baptist Chapel - but am not sure if this is for the old Chapel or the Birchmeadow Chapel.

Anyway if and when you have time could you possibly check and see if there are any burials for the surname of JONES.

    Many thanks

At least 18 Jones's at Benthall - both churches are very close to each other. By the way the Broseley Baptist Chapel is the old one of 1741 and not Birchmeadow.

    Peter,

Is it possible for you to check the Broseley B.Chapel MIs for the name EVANS ?
Also, do you know if any of the registers for Broseley and Birchmeadow have been transcribed anywhere?
    Thankyou, Bjelkier

Many thanks Peter - the ones I am after are a bit earlier than that one but of course they may not have MI's so will have to see if I can access the actual Burial registers.

If it is not too much trouble could you list the Jones in Benthall that you mentioned - so close to Broseley they could be connections.

    Default Broseley transcriptions

Bjelkier you will find transcriptions from 1570 - 1750 for Broseley St Leonards on the fascinating website for the town at: broseley.org.uk/index.html (put www. in front)
    under the History section.

Not that it helps if you are after Burials but Birchmeadow Births 1794-1835 and Broseley Baps - 1570 - 1830 and Marriages 1751-1840 are covered on the IGI.

The only Evans at the Baptist Chapel are Henry 1879-1959 and his wife Caroline 1885-1967
