DOBIE, RUSSELL, MURDOCK/MURDOCH in Dumfriesshire

My three main surnames of interest in Dumfriesshire are DOBIE, RUSSELL, and MURDOCK/MURDOCH.

My DOBIE line is originally from Tinwald Village, just north of Dumfries.

Here is what I know (not much) about my g-g-grandmother, Mary Isabella RUSSELL:

Mary Isabella RUSSELL born about 1813, Scotland, was probably the daughter of John Russell and Elizabeth MURDOCH (per International Genealogical Index). She married in SCT, John DOBIE, born about 1812, Dumfries, Scotland, (son of William DOBIE and Mary MURDOCK), both died & buried in Chatsworth, Ontario, Canada.

AS the IGI entry is the correct name and about the correct time, it is tempting to assume this is my Mary Russell, but I have no real evidence to support it.

Any help on these lines in the Dumfries area would be much appreciated.
