    Default Chinty Glazer/Glazier

    Hello

Anyone have any idea what this might be? Is it an old time double glazing salesman do you think?

I think it should be "chintz", not "chinty". Probably a mistranscription.
Chintz is a cotton fabric used for curtains, drapes and slip-covers, etc.
Usually floral prints. A chintz glazer was a textile mill worker who applied sizing or starch to the fabric to give it more body and a smooth surface.
