my great, great grandmother Margaret ROBERTS married a Wilfred Jessop from Ings Road in 1983. Her address was the White Swan, Kirkgate and Wilfred Jessop her betrothed was from 83 Ings Road. Anyone have any information please?

Presumably, you have the marriage certificate, what were their ages ? Father's names, occupations ?

Do you mean Kirkgate in Leeds ? I think there was also a Kirkgate in Wakefield.

white swan - jessop/roberts
yet I have the marriage cert. I assume it's the white swan, kirgate in Wakefield becuase the marriage was in Wakefield and I pressume it would say if it was out of the area. I thought Margaret was a widow when she married Jessop because she already had a daughter but she is stated as spinster on the certificate. I'm hoping someone may know something.

There are too many Robert's/Jessop's in Wakefield to find them in the census indexes without further details, what other info is on the certificate, please ?

thank you for your help, I don't think Margaret wants to be found. I had a difficult job tracing her daughter, my great grandmother who appears to have been brought up by grandparents. thanks again.
