Hi, can't find her on the 1871 but there is a Caroline James Kennedy who died aged 0 years in the Longtown registration district July to Sept 1867 on Freebmd.

Hi, Caroline James Kennedy born April to June period 1867 in Longtown again off Freebmd. Guessing James might have been the father's name.

Not so sure as you yet about James being father...

Caroline had other siblings (by my calculations - yet to be confirmed)...

Mary bapt 23 MAY 1858 Stapleton
James bapt 07 NOV 1867 Stapleton
Mary bapt 13 APR 1869 Stapleton

All above had mother Elizabeth on IGI baptism records...father not noted...so am trying to figure out which of the Stapleton Kennedy septs these are related to/from etc and thought that as there isn't many Caroline's in the Kennedy's around there that she would be easier to 'spot' her if she was on any census records - rather than Mary or James (am assuming that 1st Mary died....).
