Posting my Surname Interests in Wiltshire as I am new to this Forum :

BRADFIELD of Derry Hill/ Chippenham/ Calne/ Bremhill

I would be interested in sharing information about the Bradfields of Bremhill in particular.

William Bradfield married Sarah Bessant in Bremhill in 1832.

Thanks for your response John, this is what I have briefly :

John Edward BRADFIELD marr my maternal Maria CREW in Stepney in 1846, they emigrated to Sydney, Australia, and one of their sons was Dr. John Job Crew Bradfield who engineered/designed the Harbour Bridge & others.
John Edward was born 1823 in Derry Hill, his parents were
Richard John b. 1801 Bremhill marr to Ann BAILEY (no siblings named William as far as I know)
his parents were Robert b. 1771 Bremhill marr to Ann ROSE ( their youngest child is a William b. 1818 no known wife yet)
his parents were Richard b. c1740 marr to Anne GOODSHIP in 1765 in Calne.

Richard Bradfield baptized 14 June 1801 in Bremhill died 31 January 1835 in Chippenham, Occupation Carpenter. Married Ann Bailey 31 August 1822 in Chippenham (Ann married William Prictor in Derry Hill Sept 28, 1868).

married Maria Crew 1846 and died age 94 Aug 24, 1917

Maria Crew (marr to J.E. Bradfield) was one of my GG Grandmother's older sister's.

Can you confirm your Mary Ann Bradfield was the daughter of
Thomas B. marr to Mary Hollie/Holly ?
