    Default 1851 census Sunderland/Bishopwearmouth

Please could someone please look up the Rogers family in the above census. I am trying to find William Rogers aged about 38, daughter Sarah Ann, 5 and son William, 1. I have the family in later census years showing Catherine as William's wife, but believe her to be his second wife who he married in 1860.
    Many thanks.

    Hi Georgia
I have been working on your problem on and off for a couple of days and still no luck with the 1851 census for either William or Sarah. William (son)wasn't born yet. Was only 9 in 1871
I did find a death notice for a Sarah Rogers in June 1/4 1845 vol 24 p 182 and of course the marriage of a William and Catherine in 1860 but nothing in the 1851 using variations on names etc.
I won't give up just yet. Anything else you can tell me that may help?

    Hi christanel
    - Thanks for your reply and time. I am really stuck with this family, only recently found that there was a 2nd marriage for William Snr. and have wrong birth certs. for Sarah Ann and her brother! On Sarah's marriage cert. Jan 11 1865 she is shown as aged 18 - Father, William, Ship Owner, living at Grey St., Sunderland.
Witnesses John Taylor and George E C Ridley
Any help and suggestions gratefully received.
