Looking for Roche Family, Ebbw Vale

I am a new member to this Forum and actually to Genealogy too! I am starting to look for my father's family, from Ebbw Vale. He was born there in 1927. How do I begin from Australia? I have no contacts at all with family that he might have had or still have there. Maggy

You start by telling us all you know about the person you are looking for. Name, date of birth, place of birth, date of marriage, names of any brothers and sisters. Do you know the names of his parents?

There are lots of websites to visit that can aid your research some of them are pay per view where you can search so far and then you have to pay to see the pages with the detailed information.
