Hi,
I’m hoping someone can help me, I am trying to get a marriage certificate however have been told I haven’t got enough information and need the parish as well. Unfortunatly it is hard for me to find out as I live in Manchester.
The marriage was in April/May/June 1945. Sadie Agnes Toomer to Denis Cheeseman in Coventry Volume 6d, Page 1666.
Does anyone know what parish this was or how I could find out?
Thank you for taking the time to read this
Elaine Ann

Hi Elaine Ann
Welcome to the forum.
The detail you already have is the GRO (General Register Office) reference. You can apply for a certificate direct from the GRO online. www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificate This reference is no use if you are applying via the local register office, where you will need to know the parish as they use a different reference system.
