i have managed to trace my fathers side of the family back to 1828, it looks like the men were all coal miners in the black country, is there any way i can find out which coal mine they worked??? thanks.

my family have also always been miners. If you know the village that your men lived then you can google coal mines for ???? (date)and area.There is a UK uni that has a site that lists the mine names and the owners. You can then contact the nearest miners museum or local history club etc who will have lists of miners names.
i am new to not just this site but with the exception of ancestry,internet banking and e-mails !!! i am a pc idiot...my husband says that i'm the ceo of pc annon' lol....so forgive me if i haven't acted correctly.
