Hi
I've been told that my grandad had an 'invention' that he had been sending to USA on the Titanic...I'm not really sure of any deatils but how could I find out? there was talk of a patent, but again I have little idea of what any of this entails.
I've entered it in this section as my grandad, Walter Law lived all his life in Leicester. He died in 1984 aged 96.
He was a very inventive person and would manage to adapt and make all sorts of things.
He did a lot of work well into his 80s on the machines used by JJ Law , Football Boot Manufacturers in Leicester. John Joseph Law was his eldest brother. The firm closed eventually in 1980ish., due to the changes in the product.
Apparently there is an original pair of football boots from those early days in the Snibston museum in Coalville Leics, which I haven't seen yet.
Any clues as to how I might proceed to try and get the information would be appreciated.
Thanks
maggie

Titanic
I have been in touch with the patents office and they can find no record of a patent registered to my grandfather Walter Law .
They wonder if it may have been registered in a different name!!!!!
Is there anywhere that I can find a list of people on the Titanic. It seems that anothert elderly relative has talked of a relative who died on the TITANIC.
Another long shot but worth an investigation.

Just do a google search on the word Titanic, you only get 34,3000,000 hits LOL The very first one is something about crew and passenger lists and biographies. That should help a bit
