My grandfather played for Redditch FC and during his time there, they won the Birmingham combination league in 1914. Has anybody got any information on Redditch FC during that time. I would like to know what position my Grandfather played and who his teams mates were at the time.
My Grandfather joined the Royal Field Artillery during WW1. it would be interesting to see if any of his teams mates enlisted with him.

Was going to suggest, you contact the Club at
http://www.redditchunited.com/
but find the Web site is down.
Perhaps another subscriber can provide a Snail Mail address for the Club.

I've found another site for Redditch United. Try http://www.thisisrufc.co.uk/worceste...ted/index.html There seem to be a lot of useful links on it.
Hope that helps

Valley Stadium,
Bromsgrove Road,
Redditch

I'm sure if you write you'll get a reply eventually - most non-League clubs seem to have supporter who's interested in the clubs archives and history, but you may need to be patient: the office may not be manned full-time so there could be delays.
