    Default Searching for coastguard in 1841 - 1851

    His name: Nicholas Merrifiled
    His wife Ann and baby girl,Ann are on the 1841 census, living in Falmouth. No Nicholas. He had a son there in 1844, then two more children in Faversham,Kent 1846 and 1847.
    The 1861 census has him in Yorkshire,retired.
    Where could he have been? Any suggestios as to where to loook wiould be gratefully received!!
