Hello,
Looking for the 1861 family of Mary MORRIS, b. 1855c., Shifnal, (1881).
Father: William MORRIS, Laborer, re:1877, Marriage Certificate, St. Mary's, Shrewsbury, Coton Hill.
Later children: Fanny b. 1878, John, Lizzie, Mary and Thomas.
Alice MORRIS, b. 1874c., Shrewsbury, is listed as a sister-in-law of Mary's husband, Thomas BROWN, on the 1881 census. Trying to determine if Mary's father, William, is also this Alice's father.
Alice is a possibility for my ggran Alice Edith ELLIS (MORRIS), b. 1873c. Staff, Wolverhampton (1901), father Frederick MORRIS, 1898 Pendleton, Salford, Marriage Certificate.
However, the GRO has no record of an Alice MORRIS b. 1873c. with a Frederick MORRIS.
Regards, Lesley

Hi Lesley,
I am a bit confused as to what you are asking for.
But given you have 1861 in the title I am ASSUMING that you are after an 1861 census lookup.

Alice E. MORRIS, 1874c. Shrewsbury Parish Records
Hello all,
Thank you for the 1861 look up of Mary's father, William, living in Shrewsbury, St. Mary reg. district, eccles. parish, St. Michael.
I am now trying to locate a birth entry for an Alice E. MORRIS, b. 1874c. in the Shrewsbury Parish Records (possibly father William and mother Catherine).
If work is being done on the Parish Records, and it is relatively easy to identify Alice's birth, any information would be very much appreciated.
Best wishes, LesleyLast edited by Lesleyguest; 26-05-2006 at 8:52 PM.
