The passenger list for the Blairgowrie which landed its passengers at Lyttleton N Z 24th August 1875 included Jarew Dawber and Eliza Dawber aged 22 and 23 from Suffolk He was a porter a government nominated family. We have no trace of them in N Z A look at 1861 or 71 census would give us the family they come from in Suffolk Thanks for some help jack

Were they husband & wife or siblings? So far I can find no reference to the name Jarew anywhere. I can only find 2 Dawbers in Suffolk, neither of them this couple.

Dawber immigrants
Thanks to Wirral Passenger list gives no details but I would assume husband and wife. On the other hand there are a Mr and Mrs Dawber as saloon passengers. no initials and no place of origin.perhaps a family with children nominated. A mystery as our family were already settled here and there is no mention or record of these people. Thanks again jack
