Hi,
It has taken a long time but via a friend researching the Wiss family, I have finally discovered the Maiden Name of my GGgrandmother.
She was married on 6th August 1855 at Emmanuel, Parish of Camberwell, Country of Surrey
The Registered entry appears to be No. 205.
She married Walfred Wiss.
Louisa Isabella Schofield's father was John Schofield. Trade was Draper.
Has anyone any information, other than this marriage Certificate and I also have the birth of her Daughter Louisa Annie Phillipine Wiss 11.10.1855
Is there anyone researching Schofield?
Thanks for any help
Lucy

We're really excited and we hope you will be !!
Hello I am John Wiss. My wife Kay and I have been researching our family tree for some time now. By pure luck we found you on this website.
We have a whole family tree for the Wiss family which we have inherited and can see Louisa and Alfred very clearly and then also how this maps further back to where Alfred's grandparents are married.
You may already have this information but if not we are more than happy to scan a tree, even though it is handwritten and email it to you.
Basically my great-great-grandfather was Robert Wiss and he was brother to Alfred.
I also have a census from 1851 when they lived at 38 Charing Cross in London which we can also scan and send.
I also have a potential 1881 census return for Louisa Wiss in Finchley but not sure if this is a true relation.
Also Robert and Alfred's father was called Robert and he had a sister called Louisa Philipine, which is where the name comes from.
We look forward to hearing from you. Also we would like to know how the other lady in the UK mentioned on the website is connected as we thought we were possibly the last of this Wiss line in the UK. Apart from our twin sons, that is !!

Schofield Family
There is a whole forum on the Schofield Family - is there a link that it is the same family? I know of someone else researching Schofields.
