Searching for George Trim - birth/details

I am searching for the birthdate and parent details of George Trim. He was my wife's g-grandfather.

"Mythology" of Australia Genealogy Forum has helped me establish that George was born in Chideock, Dorset. He says the 1881 Census has him working in Clifton and that he was 42. This places his birth at 1839-40.

He emmigrated to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia in 1882 and married maria Bevan shortly after arriving.

I would much appreciate details of how I can locate the birth record. this should, I expect, give me the parents' names so that I can follow through.
