1861/1901 census help - lost ancestor

I have lost an ancestor in the 1861 census and the 1901 census . Would SKS pls have a quick look to see if they can spot him. I have the rest of the family. That would be greatly appreciated.
Isaac Bessant b abt 1824 in Hinton Parva, Wimborne, Dorset also down as Holt, Dorset - surnames can be spelt besant/bessant/beasant/bassant
I have him on ALL other census'
1841 HO107/288 f4 p16, Hinton Parva, Son, 17, Ag Lab (no residence listed)
1851 HO107/1854 f523 p25 s164, Wimborne Minster, Head, Married, 25, Ag Lab, Hillbutts - surname as Bassant (just him and his wife Louisa)
1861 cannot find (wife died 1856 abt 1 mth after 4th child born - all children were with his sister-in-law)
1871 RG10/1984 f60 p28 s124, Wimborne Minster, Head, Widow, 45, Ag Lab, (residence - can't read image) - surname as Beasant (with 2 of his 4 children and sister-in-law)
1881 RG11/2093 f11 p16 s82, Wimborne Minster, Head, Widow, 55, Gen Lab, Old Bland Rd (with 2 of his 4 children and sister-in-law)
1891 RG12/1636 f145 p 66 s407, Wimborne Minster, Head, Widow, 67, Farm Lab, Blandford Rd (just him and sister-in-law)

Not yet......but I will be back later in the day and will look again if he has not been found. An elusive man indeed!

Have you tried the workhouse, where inmates are usually referred to just by initials in these earlier census returns. Initials are also just used for prison and asylum returns. In all three, entries can be inaccurate - either initials difficult to read, ages wrong and incorrect birthplaces - in short it can sometimes be hard to identify an individual.

Other possibilities are - he was just missedon the census or that the census page on which he is recorded is damaged or missing.

Don’t know if you remember me but we were in contact earlier in the year and unfortunately I’ve lost your email address so I thought I’d contact you again through this forum. Although this is not directly connected to Isaac it is to another member of your family.

If you visit http://www.
greenmanwimborne.com/ and click on the “History” link you will find an undated photograph (thought to be early 1900’s) of how it looked then. On the right you will also see Halfmoon Cottages fronting onto what was “(Old) Blandford Road”. Not sure but possibly where Isaac and family lived in 1881.
