There are 6 Whittington's in England, mine is near Lichfield but I have no Haley surnames. Phil.

    Hi Louisa
It would be helpful if you can confirm which county Whittington is in.
Looking at the 1911 census it might be Derbyshire as we have two families and two individual's in the village. All coal miners.

You will normally find plenty of info on a place with a google search.
What other sort of info are you looking for. Names, births, marriages, deaths. Census ?

This being the Westmorland forum I would guess you mean the Whittington which is close to Kirkby Lonsdale.
The village has a website - google Whittington in the Lune Valley.

Perhaps but that Whittington would appear to have been in Lancashire

Perhaps the questioner would clarify matters.

Possibly, but this is a very old thread (over 5 years old!) and the OP seems to have not been on the forum for over three years, so may not see the thread.
