I am looking for descendants of Henry King and Elizabeth Sanger who married in East Knoyle in 1832. Their children were Arthur 1832 (married Henrietta), Mary 1835 (married George Dawson), Celena 1839, Ellen 1843 (married James Neil)), Ellen 1843 (married James Neil), David 1847 (married Sarah Ann Hiscock), Charles 1849 (married Sophia Burton), Tryphena 1849 (spinster), Alfred 1855 and Syd 1855.
I have an inkling that Celena could be the Selina Read that appears in the 1871 census for East Knoyle but have no proof of a wedding. Any help gratefully received and of course I would be very pleased to contact any others who are researching this particular family of King.
Going in the other direction, the earliest member of the family I have is Robert King who married Mary Mead in East Knoyle in 1772, how can I establish where he was from?

Do you have them in any censuses? They are in 1851, 61 and 71.
Unless the marriage register at East Knoyle gives Robert as 'of somewhere', (the baptisms for the children may as well) - then you will be lucky to find where he was from.

Yes thanks Andrew I do have them in all the censuses - that's what led to my supposition about Celena. I haven't seen the East Knoyle registers for some years. I expect I ought to order them through the LDS on the offchance. Thanks for your comments.
