    Default Royal Navy records

    My grandfather's Navy records list all the names of ships he served on during his career. Occassionally, a ship would have he name of another ship in brackets alongside.
    Does anyone know what this means?

    This could be a ship which is tendered to another, but to be sure, could you post details, including dates.
