Forum: Electoral Rolls

Electoral registers (also known as electoral rolls) list everyone who is eligible to vote in parliamentary and local elections. They were introduced by the Representation of the People Act 1832, after which date only those people whose name was on the register could vote. They have been produced annually since then, with a few exceptions: 1917 and between 1940 and 1944.
