Looking for information on George Henry Steward, my gg grandfather.
He was probably born in Southwark in 1819 (1851 census - age 32)
He married Elizabeth Forsdick at St George Martyr, Southwark on 7 Dec 1845.
He died 21 July 1860
I cannot find him in 1841 census so only have 1851 to go on (HO107/1576; Folio 535; Page 017; Sch 041) where he is listed with wife, children and wife's relations.
His marriage certificate and the church marriage register give his father as '- Steward'.
I have searched the London Metropolitan Archives on Ancestry for a baptism, without success. I am assuming, from lack of father's first name that he was illegitimate.
