Fed up!

I am totally fed up! Last Thursday, my car broke down about two miles from home. I called the AA and waited two hours for them to turn up. Eventually, my car was put on a low loader (apparently you cannot tow a 4x4) and taken to the Honda garage. The following day, the garage chappie phoned, said it was water on the plugs and the car could be collected. After paying the £95.00 bill, I drove the car home.
Everything was fine until Sunday morning when just about 100 yards from home, the car repeated all the symptoms of the previous Thursday. I carefully took the car home and then the car was taken back to the garage.
Yesterday, the garage chap 'phoned and said it was some sort of intermittent problem, but they could not find anything wrong with the car, although there was a small possibility that the head gasket was breaking down. The mechanic also said not to stray too far from home as it could happen again.
I am due to attend the Gwent FHS Open Day this coming Saturday, so what do I do? Do I risk it and keep my fingers crossed that the car doesn't break down on the M5, or do I play safe and stay home? How can it be that despite the car misfiring and the engine light flashing, the Honda garage cannot locate the problem?
