Since contracting shingles seven weeks ago, spending the days in a complete daze and having only a couple of hours sleep at night, I haven't felt like doing much of anything, let alone writing this Blog. However, at last the pain is abating and I can now cope without swallowing loads of painkillers on a daily basis.

This fantastic event is taking place on Saturday, 25th. June, at the Knavesmire Stand, York Racecourse. Easy parking, refreshments available. Hundreds of exhibitors from all over the United Kingdom will be there, so it really is a 'not to be missed' event.

I am totally fed up! Last Thursday, my car broke down about two miles from home. I called the AA and waited two hours for them to turn up. Eventually, my car was put on a low loader (apparently you cannot tow a 4x4) and taken to the Honda garage. The following day, the garage chappie phoned, said it was water on the plugs and the car could be collected. After paying the £95.00 bill, I drove the car home.

Everything was fine until Sunday morning when just about 100 yards from home, ...

Now, I know British Genealogy is a great site, but I do object to someone copying our information, setting up a Facebook group and using the information as if it were their own. Dayley Lawrence, you are guilty of breach of copyright and as you have ignored emails about it, apparently do not even care.

I am delighted that the 'new look' Brit-Gen forum is almost complete and I think it looks fantastic. Naturally enough, the navigation is slightly different than before, but it is still extremely simple and easy to use.
