I have been gathering information about my PLUTO (Pipe line Under The Ocean) bungalow from 1998 when I purchased the property, close to Dungeness, Kent. I think I have all the information available to me about the pipe lines, the innocent looking holiday bungalows built as pumping stations, and operations PLUTO, FIDO, and the OVERLORD INVASION.
My recent investigations have discovered that 548 Company, Regiment of the Electrical & Mechanical Engineers?. I believe the person in charge was James Leslie Hagger (Rank Unknown). Can anyone help me please with information about 548 Company, James Hagger, Service and Non Service Men/Women who were involved with operation PLUTO during and after the 2nd World War.

I think it may have been 548 (Electrical and Mechanical) Company , Royal Engineers. The Royal Engineers Corps Library or Museum at Chatham might be able to help.
