Hi I am looking for a Abraham Taylor in Reading in the 1830's his daughter Isabella Taylor was born about 1834 in Reading.
She is my husbands gg grandmother.
Isabella went on to marry George Dridge (yes Dridge) in 1857 in Emsworth Hampshire, Abraham was a parchment maker.
If anyone has the 1841 or 1851 and can find them I would be most grateful as I haven't been able to get to the Berkshire records office yet to start hunting so any clues would be gratefully received.

Hi Irene,
The IGI gives this Baptism:-
Isabella daughter of Abraham & Elizabeth Taylor at Kintbury Berkshire 7th Sept. 1834
There are no other children baptised to this couple in this parish

7Hi Jeremy
Thanks for that, didn't think to check the IGI again. That must be new as I last checked about a year ago.
I also found in Havant two children to Abraham and Elizabeth 1839 & 1840, I wonder if he moved down that way then.
Isabella has of full age in 1857, her husband dies in 1877 and she then remarried to Ephriam Kennett later that year.
I didn't find them in the indexing and I have also found the death 1855 in Havant district so its very possible. Will just have to check the indexing in other parish close.
Thanks again
Irene

Irene,
Looking at the 1851 Berkshire census:
There is only one Abraham TAYLOR who is aged 20 - b Greenham
The only two Isabella TAYLORs are aged 11 and 12 respectively, one born Ashbury Berks, the other Totton Hants.

Hi Harry
Thanks for looking, was Abraham with anyone, it is possible there is a connection to Kintbury but there are a lot of Abraham Taylors, I'm now working on the assumption that they moved near Emsworth, but I will bear in mind your findings.
Thank you
Irene

Just to let you all know I have found Abraham Taylor + family in 1851, in Caversham, must have moved to Langstone before he died in 1855 as I have found more of the family around there in 1861.
Abraham was born in Tilehurst 1810. Parents William and Ann.
Thank you all for your help & interest.
Irene
