I am trying to find birth/baptism of Martha Hancock born c1814 according to Census info in Steynton Pembroke Wales
In 1834 she married Francis Tivey they married in Pembroke (only have IGI off LDS for this)
Francis Tivey was in the Navy they only had (I believe) i child Ellen Jane and she was born in Portsmouth.
What I would really like to know if possible is Martha's birth date & who her parents were please

I can't help you with her birth date, but she and Francis married 27 Nov 1834 in Pembroke St. Mary.

Hi Sandie,
I cannot find the answer to your direct question as to Martha's parents but I am able to help you in another way. Francis & Martha did have other children besides Ellen Jane. By 1851 census they are back in Pembrokeshire.
Pembroke St Mary 1851 Census
Francis Tivey Head 40 Greenwich Pensioner Born Melbourne, Derbys.
Martha wife 39 Born Steynton Pembs
William son 15 Born St Micheals? Pembs
Ellen dau 11 Born Portsmouth, Hamps
James son 9 Born Portsea, Hamps
There are several Tivey Baptisms in Melbourne Derbyshire especially in the year 1837 when different Tivey couples seem to baptise several children on the same day. ( Different couples on different days but commonly in 1837)
William & Mary Tivey baptise the following 7 September 1837
Francis, Harriet, George & Henry. It gives a birth date for Francis as 1821 and says female but it may well be worth further investigation.
Cheers Jeremy

After I sent my other mail it occurred to me that the name Hancock might be relatively uncommon in Pembrokeshire, so I did a bit of checking on Ancestry and also the list of Pembrokeshire marriages 1813-1837, and its a bit more common than I thought. However, I found the following entries which might have some connection with your Martha.
1851 Census - 3 families either living in Steynton or born there (sorry the table format goes a bit astray here, but hopefully you can follow:

Hi Jeeb,
thanks for that just found that one I was very surprised cos Ellen seems to be the only one or seemed to be the only one I could find just as well as shes my gggran.
I have found a James Henry Tivey in the LDS born 1842 so guess that could be James age 9.
Francis Tivey according to another Tivey researcher is the son of Ann Edwards & John Tivey and yes he was from Melborne Derby lots of Tiveys there!
Megan hi
Couple of those Hancocks look promising .
Pembroke looks a nice place think when hubbie has finished daughters kitchen have to have a trip down .
I found that the Carmarthenshire FHS has the complete Marriages for Pembroke 1813-1837
This has Francis & Marthas marriage for 27/11/1834 can anyone tell me what this means in the search facility on the PDF it comes up
Martha Hancock Pembroke St Mary 1818 04/02 David Toby Llanvair Nantgwyn Dinah William.
any idea what this means?

When you do a search on a PDF it highlights a number of words starting with the ones you asked it to look for. So Martha Hancock is the beginning and from 1818 04/02 onwards this is the next line - so it has nothing to do with Martha.
The file reads from left to right Year /Date/ First Name/ Surname (husband)/ Information /First Name /Surname (wife) /Information /Parish
