Can anyone help me please? I am trying to trace Phillip Baldwin born abt 1843 in Somer Hamley, Worcestershire (as per 1871 census). He later married Priscilla (from Beller, Shropshire) and settled in Herefordshire.
Any connection would be appreciated.
They had 5 children in 1881.
thanks
Jean

I looked at the image and his place of birth was LOWER Hanley. In 1861 he is at RG 9 2084 folio 7 at a farm in Bockleton. Not much help really as he is not with his family.

Hi Jean,

I think this will almost certainly be the family you are looking for:-

Marriage John Baldwin & Susannah Price 23 Feb. 1837 Stoke Bliss Worcs.

Baptised sons of John & Susan Baldwin at Hanley Child, Worcs
Joseph 16 Dec 1838
John 4 Oct 1840
Philip 29 May 1842

I live in Worcestershire and Stoke Bliss neighbours Hanley Child which is probably Lower Hanley referred to on the census as opposed to Hanley William to the North. Hanley Child is close to Bockleton where Philip is on the 1861 census, given to you by uksearch.
Cheers, Jeremy.
