I am seeking any information about HMS Mallard during WWII. My grandfather was a stoker on this ship which I believe was involved in convoy duties but I have been unable to find any details apart from the fact that it was part of the NORE Command, something which again I know nothing about. Any help at all would be great!

HMS Mallard
launched 1936, sold 1947.
Patrol Vessel - 234ft long, 510 tons. 1x4inch gun, smaller AA weapons.. Crew 60.
Using a search engine should bring some results back. if you contact the Reprograhic Department at the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich, you should be able to purchase a photo of her.

My father was a chief petty officer on HMS Mallard during the war. His name is Sandy Clark and does not give away any info. Give me any info and I will ask my father.
