which registry office

Please could someone tell me which registry office I need for a birth in Hanbury in 1853/4 ? Would Hanbury be near Dodderhill ?

Hi Kath

Looks as though Droitwich is the registration District you need.

I find the following site a handy reference, but it doesn't include all "places", just parishes.

Once you find the place name and reg.district, the link at the top of the page will take you to info about reg districts, addresses etc.

Thanks for the information. My difficulty is that the two places given as my greatgrandfathers birth place are Hanbury and Dodderhill so I assume they must be pretty near each other. I think Dodderhill is now Droitwhich so that would fit.
