Jury lists and poll lists

I have recently come across information on poll books( 1734 in Derbyshire) and voting lists( late 1700 early 1800 in Derbyshire). Are there other records for other places? Where would I be likely to find them? I am interested in Stockport and Manchester areas. Also, The Universal Directory of Great Britain 1791. Is this available somewhere to look?

There are loads of Poll Books about, some Family History Societies have published copies, there is a company which has published some, if you enter the words facsimile and pollbooks into a search engine, it should come up.

Larger reference libraries and record centres sometimes keep copies which relate to their area.

For Stockport contact the Local Heritage Library.
As for Manchester there is nothing on film here prior to 1832 but I have no idea if they have anything in the Archives.

There is only one Poll Book here for Manchester and that is dated 1690.What surprised me is that they have a good collection of Poll Books for Liverpool 1761,1780 & 1796,1806,1812 71816,1818,and 1830.There is one for Nottingham as well.
