Hugh Phillips was married at Ewyas Harold to Mary Phillips in 1768.
His father-in-law was Hugh Phillips and his son (b1772 in Grosmont) was Hugh Phillips. You can see the confusion that results from all these Hughs
My Hugh Phillips is my direct forebear but for all the info I can find about him before his wedding day he might have been beamed down from space for the ceremony!
There appears to have been a strong connection with Grosmont tho' because my Hugh spent almost the rest of his life there and was returned to Grosmont for burial.
Any info about Hugh's parentage and place and date of birth would be welcomed and much info about his descendents given in exchange.
