Hi,
I once came across a site by I think Kevin Aspinal? all about the Boer War and listing many of the soldiers who were involved, but now I cannot find it again, forgotton the web number, have tried Google but still no good, does anyone know the correct URL

My main reason is wanting to get in touch with him as I have reason to believe my paternal grandfather may have been named on one of the lists (James Barr) I had been searching for some years for this elusive grandfather, then a very kind gentleman provided me with a lot of information, which led me to find him on the 1901 (Scotland) census, his wife was there noted as( "a soldiers wife-Reservist") he did not appear on the census anywhere, so possible he was overseas, having been a regular soldier. He did have a middle name (Gilmour) but appears to have dropped the use of it, did not appear on his marriage cert, nor was it mentioned on his death cert. So when I saw this on the Boer War site, I wondered at the time, could it have been him, now that I know for sure he WAS a soldier, its quite possible it could have been him, but obviously I wish to be sure, and hoping that Kevin could enlighten me.
If anyone can help, it would be most appreciated thank you.
