I've posted 6 times (make that 7 now) but only 4 are showing top right.
I'll never be more than a junior at this rate, and I'm much too old for that!

I also noticed that the sums weren't adding up in my early days (only July this year). At first it seemed that however many times I responded to the same post it only ever counted as one. But eventually it notched up another figure for every single posting. I automatically put it down to a cyber glitch of some sort. I soon forgot about it though - you'll be a member by 30 I think, that's respectable enough, isn't it?! Ha!;)

Dredging from the back of my mind;) I seem to recall that posts to the general chattery type boards do not add to the number of posts accumulated.

Yes John, that's probably it, and in the early days it's easier to get involved in chatter from a confidence point of view. To become a member/senior member you must have to contribute to serious research/assistance of others. Seems fair enough and it's what the site is all about.

To check out your theory I've had a bit of a nose about, so does *chatty* include the Grumpy Old Men, Politics, Religion & the Christian Forums too, because a junior member has only posted in there so far, and all the posts
are recorded ?

I think the General Chatter forums are the ones that do not add to your "score". but the way to find out is to put a message on the various forums and see if they add to your total - or would that be cheating?

If you click on my name get2BJ above, then view all posts by get2BJ you will see that I have 69 posts (70 after this one), yet this posting will only show that I am on 64. Scrolling down you can see that I have contributed to 5 general chatter (6 after this one) and 2 grumpy old men, so doing the maths it would appear that the grumpy old men did count towards my score but the general chatter didn't!
Confused...? you will be if I continue to submit posts today before you read this because the 70 and 5 shown above will change!

Try it with someone else - not anyone with too many to count!
