ATS (WOMENS AUXILIARY TERRITORIAL SERVICE) 1939-45
Does anyone know if it's possible to get information on the women who
served in the ATS?This web-site
http://www.atsremembered.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/
suggests that The National Archives holds the majority of records relating to the A T S; so, searching TNA's online catalogue
http://www.catalogue.nationalarchives.gov.uk/search.asp
using A T S as the word or phrase, brings up quite a few hits. Most are in the WO (War Office) class and there seem to be quie a few different types of records for the Service; but no single index to members.
Service Records seem to be held by the MoD

NICE ONE - A.T.S. Remembered looks interesting. You're amazing!
Funnily enough I was just looking on the National Archives site, but as you say, no single index to ATS members.
Thanks very much
