Hi, can anyone help? My grandmother, Ellen Toman was not on the 1901 census with her husband and children, she was 27yrs, an Ellen Toman has shown up on the 1901 census as an inmate in the Convent of the Good Shepherd, home for the Preservation and Reformation of Women and Girls, Blackley, N.Manchester. It seems very likely that it is the same person as the date of birth and place of birth are correct. Does anyone know if there is a published archive of the institute giving details of inmates marital state etc? Any help is really appreciated, thanks, Freddie
