Can any of you ladies tell me why you call what we call a fringe a bang or bangs ? :confused: In all my years doing this job not one of my American clients have been able to answer this question !

Probably a shortening of bangtail. A racehorse with a short tail!

I just did a google on bangtail as it wasnt in the English dictionary and it said Horse bred for racing ! no need to ask the horse (y) lot now :)
