Submitting info to LDS

I have just seen that my (small at the time) gedcom i submitted to familysearch almost a year ago now has just put on there. When i sent this to them i had no confirmation that it had been accepted and was relieved as to be honest as i didnt know what i was submitting at the time as gedcoms were new to me and i even spelt my own name wrong|shakehead !. What worries me now is that i know for sure that some info is wrong and i dont think you can change it can you ? Personally i have always double checked where possible any information i have found on there and only just recently found that a long standing memember of LDS researched members of my tree years ago and submitted it and we all believed our gt gt gt gt grandparents were correct - but it now turns out not to be - as checking everyone else it was correct but couldnt manage to find out about them. I have put messages out to find Rena Fyfe Derricot who is the lady who did this who i now believe to be living in Canada or U.S but had no response as i would like to know how she believes they were my gtx4 just in case we ARE all wrong ! Lucky for us the trouble is at the top of the tree.

I think there is a lesson in here somewhere ;)
