I am interested in finding the list of crew on a ship called "Starbeam" and would be greatful if someone could tell me how to go about it. The ship was an ice carrier between Norway and Boston Lincolnshire.

www.gwpda.org/naval This will tell you how to go about it but it depends on what time era you are looking for.If i remember correctly (probably not !) A lot of the Archives are in Newfoundland - i will look up the address - as i am starting to look for my Gt Grandfather. There is a site www.ship-modelers-assn.org on which i found out about one of the ships he sailed on. The Maritime museum in Greenwich only has records in the year ending 05 and i went there on the offchance on my way home from work one day and could i remeber the name of the ship ? no !

I answered a question which covers some of the 20th century just recently on:
http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8003
Details of where to find crew lists and agreements for 1747-1860 can be found at:
http://www.catalogue.nationalarchives.gov.uk/RdLeaflet.asp?sLeafletID=130
for the period thereafter, see
