Nanson's of Penrith

I have reached a brick wall regarding my great great grandparents. He was John Nanson born circa 1828, and his wife was called Isabella Dalton born circa 1834. According to the 1891 census they were both born in Penrith. I know they had nine children. Any help or information regarding this family would be greatly appreciated.

Dont know if it helps, but my mam who was born (1925) in Skirwith, which is nine miles from Penrith, knew an Alice Nanson who lived in the village. Happy hunting. Murtonia

Just thought I would mention that last week I visited the small Church at Mungrisdale which is just north of the A66 before you get to Threlkeld. In the porch of the Church is a diagram showing the layout of burials in the Churchyard. Amongst the names listed there were about eight if not more Nanson's. Unfortunately I wasnt able to make a note of them. Mungrisdale is not all that far from Penrith and I wondered if these were your family members. Hope this is of some help. Kind regards.
