Hi
I am looking for Mary Ann LODGE, according to the census she was born 1842 in Painswick (1871 living Bully, 1881living painswick). Although I cannot find a baptism in painswick for her, I cannot find any LODGE families in Painswick at this time.
On the 1861 there are 4 Mary Ann Lodge who were born in 1841,1842 and 2 in 1844, any of these could be her. (I only have ancestry index so cannot take any of these further).
A birth entry in Sept 1/4 1841 Stroud district could be her.
She married Benjamin Berry in Jun 1/4 1870 Stroud District.
There are LODGEs in Tibberton which is close to Bully (living in 1871), as Bully is quiet a way from Painswick, I was wondering if she was a Tibberton LODGE, but again there is no bap. that matches.
There are other LODGE births in the Stroud District -
Rowena Jun 1843,
William Wall Dec 1844
Maria Dec 1847
Maria Mar 1849
Any help/advice appreciated
Sue

She married Benjamin Berry in Jun 1/4 1870 Stroud District. If you get hold of that marriage certificate, then it will state her father's name, and then you will be able to sort out which one in the 1861 census is the correct family.

The correct entry should be the one the parish of Westbury. The entries differ slighty..well worth having a look at if you have the access.

Hi UK
Painswick is miles away from Henbury. Henbury is in Bristol very close to Somerset County.
So are you saying that your LODGES from Henbury are also found in Westbury?
Is that Westbury on Trym? As this was the parish next to Henbury, maybe they lived right on the parish boundary.
