In 1885, Annie Calladine emigrated to Canada with her 2 sons, William and Charles and met up with her husband, John who was already over here. (they are on the www.ingeneas.com (http://www.ingeneas.com) database)
In 1901 I found John living it seems alone in Toronto even though the census says married. Annie may have gone back before the 1901 census, however I don't see her name in the 1901 census of England/Wales.
In 1918, as Charles her son of Canada now, fighting in WW1, was kia, his commerative says that his mother, Annie Calladine is of Dover,England. Dover is where her sons were born.
How would one find out please, a list of passengers going back to England.
Thankyou for any help you post.

....How would one find out please, a list of passengers going back to England. Lists of incoming passengers to the UK are held at TNA (PRO as was) at Kew, here's the guidance leaflet that they publish on the subject: http://www.catalogue.nationalarchives.gov.uk/rdleaflet.asp?sLeafletID=106 Unless you have any more information I suspect that it's going to be a long, hard slog, here's a quote from the leaflet:
Board of Trade Passenger Lists from 1878
Ships' passenger lists among the records of the Board of Trade relate mainly to arrivals in and departures from UK seaports. The lists are copies furnished by ships’ masters, as required by law, to port officers of the Ministry of Transport and sent to the Board of Trade for use in compiling statistics. They are arranged in two series, for arrivals (BT 26 ) and departures (BT 27 ). There is no index to these records, either by name or by ship, although work is being carried out to improve the Catalogue entries for inward bound passenger lists....
To find your document you should know the port of departure/arrival and the year/month. If you do not have this information, but do know the name of the ship, you could use the Registers of Passenger Lists, 1906-1951, in BT 32 ... Note that some ports are not named separately in the series lists, but are included with other, usually larger, ports nearby. Also, some ports are also known by different names, eg Queenstown = Cork.
If you do not know port of departure/arrival or the name of the ship, it may be very difficult and time consuming to find any record.
As far as I'm aware, there are no on-line lists of passengers
Good luck
