Hi
I have found a marriage 1849 St Peters Leeds.
Between Edward Lawn and Ann Dawson.

Do you know where I could get any further information on this event without buying the certificate?

Where are the parish records kept? Is anyone going there soon?

The whole story!
I am looking for my ancestor Edward Lawn, this branch of my tree has been the most difficult so far as they moved all around the country (he was a traveller currier), and Edwards name has also been recorded as Long. I know the first child was born c1850. I know the wife was Ann Dennon on a copy of one of the childrens birth certs.
So could this marriage of Edward Lawn and Ann Dawson be them?
Any advice welcomed.
Sue

Where are the parish records kept? Is anyone going there soon? The Leeds information on the Genuki site is very detailed. I would have posted this sooner but having lived there for 4 years as a teenager then visited my parents there for another 9 or so years I got carried down memory lane by some of the photos etc. This URL should begin to answer some of your questions.

Thanks very much for this, it looks like it will be cheaper to order the certificate rather than pay £18.50 for someone to have a look in the PR.
Unless I can find someone who is going to the WYAS in Leeds!
