COTTERELL - Winkfield and Old Windsor

Hello,

My COTTERELL ancestors lived in Winkfield for at least three generations. Samuel COTTERELL the son of Martha COTTERELL baptised at Winkfield 1783 was my 4xgreat grandfather. Samuel married Mary GRAY. If anyone has information on this family I would appreciate hearing from you.

my husband's ancestry includes PITHER from the Henley/Reading areas in Oxfordshire, Berks & Bucks. James PITHER , BORN 1838 in Henley (at the time inall 3 counties!) married Mary WAY from Brixton in 1871. He was the son of James born abt 1811 in Chepping Wycombe, Bucks.
James jnr had children - ELIZABETH ANN, MARY, WILLIAM JAMES & ELEANOR SOPHIA born between 1872 & 1879 in Rotherfield Greys, Berks & HENRY JOHN THOMAS & FLORENCE EDITH born 1881, 1884 in Henley on Thames. Do these tie in with your associated family?

Sorry, I don't know anything about my Pither ancestors except that Sarah pither married Edward Searle in the 1820s. Edward was from Warfield and possibly Sarah was too. They both died at Rotherfield Greys in the 1830s.
