I am researching the Owens family. Thomas Owens was born in 1847 at St David's Brecon, he married Elizabeth Webb born 1850 also at St David's. They moved to Ystradyfodwg and had Thomas, Henry and Frederick and other children. Their son Thomas born 1876 was my grandfather. He married Ruth Griffiths and lived most of his life in Newark, Notts. The Thomas b 1847 is described as a painter in the 1881 census but was wealthy enough to take his whole family, 7kids, to America on holiday in the 1890,s! I should be delighted to her from fellow researchers/descendants with more details of the family. I would be grateful if someone could find them on the 1851, 1861 1871 or 1891 census.
